K.J. Johnston Ltd. is a family-owned Western Pennsylvania corporation that has been operating since 1978, founded by President Keith Johnston. Since its inception, K.J. Johnston has steadily increased its breadth of capabilities and service offerings. With over 50 years of combined construction industry knowledge, K.J. Johnston has become a leading general contractor involved in a variety of successful commercial and residential construction projects.
Our expertise in construction spans a wide range of industries, from institutional and industrial to retail and residential. In addition, we have also worked with many clients in specific trades, such as law offices, nonprofits, and restaurants. Our principal scope of work includes, but is not limited to, framing and carpentry, painting and finishes, office upgrades and value engineering, but also includes excavation, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work. Service Area
Our company functions mainly in the tristate area, focusing on projects in and around the City of Pittsburgh and Greater Allegheny County. We also perform projects throughout western Pennsylvania, from Bedford in the southeast all the way to Erie in the northwest.
